Well, let’s start at the beginning. Police have arrested you. The first thing they are going to do is take you into custody/ The judge assigned to your case will set a bond amount.

What is a bond? The bond is a payment that you make to get out of jail while their case is pending. However, the arrestee is not entirely free.
